KTI specialise in the production of high-technology emergency positioning indicating radio beacons (EPIRBs), rescue beacons and specialised aviation simulation equipment. KTI holds COSPAS/SARSAT approval for the recently developed 406MHz range of emergency beacons set to replace the 121.5MHz units in February 2009.

The KTI range of Liferaft Locator beacons and SAR Datum Buoys, supplied to AMSA and the military, have undergone extensive product testing by the RAAF. KTI also manufactures the industry-leading synthetic flight trainer 'Aero-Guidance' that enables pilots to refine crucial instrument flying skills from a personal computer.
